I know this name may have a negative connotation (and a silly pun... critical... critic-call ), but that's honestly not what I created this group for. Sure, criticisms aren't everyone's cup of tea, but there are many artists in the DeviantArt community, (myself included,) who would do just about anything to get some *constructive* criticisms on their work. And remember, kids, not all critics give bad reviews, so we also encourage... well... exactly that. Encouragement. And to show that we aren't cynically inclined, I've chosen Jay Sherman as our official mascot. Teehee. Okay, enough blather, to the meat.

* What must I do?

Well, you just need to go out there and start giving people a piece of your mind. A good idea is to start with the members in the group. If you're already doing that, then *wonderful*, we want you! **JOIN**

* How often must I comment?

I'm not going to regulate how often you should comment, but if you're in this group I think you'd at least be interested in doing it more than the other bums, ne?

* What if I only want comments and don't want to comment on other people's stuff?

Then you're silly and selfish and I shun you. This is a community, and quite honestly you get more comments when you go out there and comment on other work.

* If that's so, then why make this group?

Let's see... I've been commenting quite often and have found that many people out there either aren't good at returning said favour or are just too mean to do so. Either way, I only encourage you to join if you truly are interested in critiquing.

* Are there points and prizes?

I'm sorry, no, I'm poor and I think your reward should be some warm and fuzzy feeling inside or something of that nature.

* What if I'm commenting like a madperson and I don't get any comments?

In that case, *FEEL FREE* to send me a note and I will make sure that the others in the group hurry over to your site. ( I will, too. )

* Do I have to have a certain type of work?

No, as long as it's original and doesn't look like it's done by a two-year-old I'll take ya.

Now all you have to do to join is send me a note. It's not guaranteed that you'll get in, however. But it's not like the prerequisites are tasking.
You must:

- have a substantial amount of work on your page... say, 3-4 deviations. You can always apply at a later time when you have more things if you don't have enough now.

- not be an inane imbecile. In other words, you must be coherent and on topic.

- be willing to have the critic symbol or a link or something in your signature. If not, then at least get out there and TELL people about us. How else will we get new members?

So... Are you all out there giving and getting comments?? Want something critiqued? post a link or two (not a massive amount) here on the page, and perhaps people will stop by to see what you've got!
